Job Summary:
|
This position will provide clinical care for patients with general neurological disorders, primarily in the outpatient setting. The position will include clinical service and teaching. Clinical responsibilities include participation in the outpatient general neurology clinic and participation in doctor-of-the-week call service. Outpatient evaluations will occur primarily at Children's Hospital of Colorado network of care locations, outreach sites, and may include hospital follow-up clinics, urgent access clinics. The specific type and location of clinic sessions may vary based on the Section's needs, including participation in quarterly regional satellite clinics. Key Responsibilities:
- On-going follow-up care both in clinic and by phone, for neurology patients. Participation in the doctor-of-the-week service initiatives.
- Collaboration of patient care with staff neurologists as appropriate.
- Teaching clinical care concepts to NPs, PAs, Residents and RNs.
- Your duties in this faculty position will include teaching, clinical, scholarly and service responsibilities

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located primarily at Anschutz/Denver Metro with responsibilities at The Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Assistant Professor:
- 0-6 years of clinical experience, interest in pursuing academic promotion
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic
- Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- Training in movement disorders or sufficient clinical experience to allow for specialization
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
Associate Professor:
- 6 or more years of clinical experience
- Prior experience with program development, teaching or research
- Examples of scholarship
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic
- Board Eligibility in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology
- Training in movement disorders or sufficient clinical experience to allow for specialization
- DEA certificate
- Ability to obtain Colorado Medical License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neurology with a Special Competence in Child Neurology.
- Current DEA
- Experience with patients with movement disorders is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Willing to collaborate with the medical team to provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families.
- Ability to diagnose and treat patients with neurological diagnoses.
- Knowledge and desire to specialize in movement disorders diagnoses and treatment.

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $216,000 to $235,000 Associate Professor: $244,344 to $265,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
