Job Description
The Access Coordinator performs a variety of data entry and general registration functions for patient access. This position accurately collects patient demographic and insurance data to ensure appropriate reimbursement and claim filing. This position helps manage the flow in the emergency room registration department. This position is responsible for answering the phone, performing admission functions for behavioral medicine patients, and taking paperwork to its designated area. This position acts as a resource in providing all customers with the highest level of service. This position enhances the hospital experience for patients, families and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services. Responsibilities
