KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and execute delivery of data / AI engagements, including definition of objectives / key deliverables while managing and mitigating risks in data, modeling, validation, and delivery
  • Lead workshops and innovation sessions with clients, multi-disciplinary, and cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, define problem statements, and design high level analytical solutions
  • Engage with clients to discover data sources and create data requests; Lead data discovery and ETL/ELT processes to ingest structured data and annotation processes to enrich unstructured data leveraging a variety of data sources (social media, news, internal / external documents, financial data, operational data)
  • Oversee the creation of analytics and machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
  • Define, monitor, and report key business metrics
  • Design, implement, and manage various reporting processes and dashboards
  • Leverage a variety of modern big data tools and approaches to solve complex business objectives

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of Data Architecture / technical experience; U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Familiarity with Data Lake / Data Warehouse architecture, design, implementation, dimensional modeling, data profiling, and source to target mapping best practices
  • Familiarity with data governance and management strategies, including data standards, data policies, metadata management, master data management
  • Experience utilizing data modeling tools such as ERWin, ER Studio, Power Designer, IBM Data Architect
  • Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL; knowledge of distributed databases such as Netezza, Teradata, Amazon Redshift etc.
  • Familiarity with data science concepts, business intelligence applications, warehouse design, as well as analytics in cloud and hybrid environments
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
