Description: Medical Assistants needed! Position is open because their office just merged/combined with another private practice that was not part of them and the group that they brought in was not utilizing the same EMR system that they use. This is an open ended contract and could go on for a year or more. They were short staffed in this area already and now it is just out of hand. This is not a glorious job by any means.. they will file all day, pull info from batches and scan and save the documents as electronic records. They will use a small scanner that will automatically upload the document, they will save it and put it in the correct chart. On top of the catch up that they have to do, weekly charts need to be pulled as patients come in and are seen in the office. (Cardiology office) They work with Touchworks/Allscripts - EMR system, would be great if someone has worked with it but not necessary. They will come to learn the different groups by just reading the top of the documents so they can determine if it is for Family Practice, Radiology, etc.. Must be reliable, have good communication and feel comfortable on the computer to learn their system. Must work well on their own and stay on task, minimal supervision throughout the day. 8 hour shift- they are very flexible. The records room opens at 6am and closes at 5pm so they can work a shift between those hours. Would be nice for them to work the same hours each day.
