Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities: Design and model machine components and process systems in SolidWorks Prepare & review designs and detailed drawings, collaborating with Manufacturing and Sales teams Analyze, develop and test designed equipment to meet specified customer requirements Configure equipment appropriately based on customer requirements Select components, assemblies and materials based on technical information from customer requirements and vendor offerings Generate & release full bills of material for manufacturing Support the procurement process for parts and components Support the Engineering Change Request and Change Order process Identify non-conformances and root causes to initiate and implement solutions Engage with external partners (suppliers, fabrication shops, engineering consultants) to produce cost effective and timely solutions Communicate with internal & external customers on troubleshooting / support of equipment and systems Investigate and research new technology available to apply to new and existing products Identify & execute improvements for equipment designs and execution processes within the department Occasional travel to vendor or customer sites Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drawing software Lean Manufacturing experience a plus PE License a plus - NOT REQUIRED Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
