TT Driver Relief- CDL (Class A) Clover Farms Dairy has been in business for over 80 years bringing fresh pasteurized milk from Pennsylvania dairy farms to our local community! We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our transportation and supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. The typical day for our driver requires operation of a manual transmission tractor/truck. Our drivers pick up finished product cargo (pallets and/or stacked milk crates) at our distribution site in Reading, PA and deliver to local grocery stores and retail customers in the Pennsylvania and surrounding regions. Responsibilities Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck (w/ manual transmission) Transport finished goods from distribution site to retail customers Inspect vehicles for mechanical concerns and safety issues before and after trips Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Load and unload cargo at delivery site Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Properly track and document driver activity log Report defects, accidents, violations and/or incidents to dispatchers Desired Skills Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Strong Work Ethic Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (Class A) Ability to handle a physical workload including but not limited to; push/pull hand truck at 200lbs-250lbs, Lift a minimum of 57.9 lbs., crank landing gear in a circular motion. Grasp and handle a steering wheel, clutch, and other driving related functions of operating a tractor trailer. Must pass DOT drug screening and DOT physical (Preferred) No recent moving or driving violations What can Clover Farms Dairy offer you?
