POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based out of our Seabrook, NJ location. This individual will need extensive knowledge and the ability to plan and schedule maintenance activities. An in-depth understanding of CMMS Systems (E-maint a plus) is necessary. Labor, material planning, and excellent communication skills are required. Assists the plant in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record keeping that is required to increase plant productivity, assist in maintenance work preparations to improve work efficiencies, and increase plant performance. Responsible for maintaining production equipment availability and performance at satisfactory levels through the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities. Assure resources are available and adequate to complete these tasks. Must be able to identify and prioritize multiple projects and perform work with a constant awareness of improving processes. Preparation of reports, metrics, and other tracking tools will allow this employee to succeed. The Maintenance Planner will support all policies, goals, and objectives of the company, and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsibilities include: * Plan work schedules to complete PM's, corrective and emergency work orders * Manage backlog to keep backlogged work orders to less than 14 days * Maintain a List of temporary repairs in EMAint/Ensure permanent repairs are made the following Maintenance Day * Audit PMs entered into eMaint to ensure parts have been booked if used, detailed comments added, and booked labor is reasonable for the work completed. Deficiencies need to be communicated to the shift Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. * Audit assignments and send weekly reports to supervisors on the performance of the Maintenance Team to ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner * Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment records in E-Maint and Thrive systems including planned and unplanned * Communicates directly with Storeroom Clerks regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled PM and corrective work orders * Assist the Storeroom Clerk Kit parts for all work orders. Manage and schedule vendors as needed for inspections, instrument calibrations, and preventative maintenance going through the Maintenance Manager for Approval * Plan all activities for planned production line downtimes and plant outages under the direction of Maintenance Supervisors to provide maximum use of resources * Prepare and maintain a weekly operator PM schedule and communicate to Operations * Ensure safe work and quality practices are implemented at all times. Report any safety or quality issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager immediately * Schedules and coordinates contractor's installation support and service operations as needed going through the Maintenance Manager for approval * Maintains equipment manuals, completes work order completion reports, documents work hours and other administrative tasks as required in CMMS * Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position * Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues * Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position * Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work * Performs other related duties as required and assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or commensurate experience * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Detail-oriented, can multi-task and manage projects * Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficient Additional Preferred Qualifications * Experience in the food/beverage industry a plus * 2 years of CMMS experience * 2 years of maintenance experience * Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment a plus * Ability to direct, coach, and train others * Project management with contractors as needed and problem-solving skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a maintenance setting. FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment, hand and power tools as well as testing and inspection equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal). OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, crawling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask and proper LOTO procedures. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals. VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment. HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
