POSITION SUMMARY

The Storeroom Clerk will be responsible for supporting Maintenance. This individual should have familiarity with inventory maintenance and a thorough understanding of intermediate mathematics, safe work practices are required. The position works closely with all departments. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based out of our Springdale, Arkansas location.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates the daily operations of the company maintenance stockroom, which provides a wide variety of equipment parts utilized by company team members. Organization is a key factor in this position.
  • Request quotes, verify pricing and maintain inventory accuracy of part order request. Process and issue purchase order to vendors.
  • Maintains the Maintenance checkbook to include issuing POs, verification, and entry of invoices.
  • Coordinates and signs off on service repairs with forklift provider as assigned by work order request.
  • Source and meet with new vendors to obtain services or cost improvements.
  • Perform monthly inventory count of maintenance chemical supplies and update database inventory.
  • Performs facility/equipment safety inspection as assigned.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of stock parts and help identify and prioritize immediate equipment repairs vs stock parts.
  • Assist in updating CMMS eMaint inventory and distribute parts to work orders.
  • Unpack maintenance part deliveries, stock team members bin and process receiving of parts.
  • Maintain parts room clean/organized on a regular basis, including housekeeping.
  • Manage stock level of parts review maintenance stocking levels, trends, and obsolete items.
  • Pick up and delivery of parts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Must successfully complete and pass forklift safety training
  • Previous inventory control experience
  • Basic computer skills - using MS Outlook Mail, and MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, working in a team environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food/beverage industry
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
