Job Description:

We are looking for a DevOps/Python Specialist to support the enterprise-wide integration, automation, and management of multiple types of IT Mid-range and network systems resources.

The specialist shall possess the following capabilities:



  • Operate, maintain, and administer existing network and system architectures. Networks include hardware, software, physical cabling, and IP address management. Systems include a virtualization environment, servers, authentication services and policies, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
  • Provide operation and maintenance, including, but not limited to, release management, upgrades, patches, change packages (enhancements/fixes), and problem reports.
  • Monitor, maintain, and report on network and systems performance.
  • Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and benchmarking by established procedures.
  • Provide Network administration services, including, but not limited to, firewall management, tool management, and Web Proxy services; and system administration, including creating and maintaining network and systems diagrams and administration documentation (SOPs); and performing scheduled preventive maintenance of all hardware and software.
  • Supports enterprise firewall management, application and automation engineering, incident management/governance risk compliance engineering, and packet capture management engineering.
  • Security Infrastructure - Application Engineer and Automation Development Responsibilities:

    • Provide Python programming and application development technical abilities.
    • Create, test, and field applications that improve efficiencies.
    • Improve productivity through practical application and replication of successful automation and control solutions.
    • Integrate automation solutions with Ansible and Cisco NSO.
    • Deliver, monitor, and support production applications.
    • Technical advisory role in implementation and architecture design
    • Assist in threat detection activities across teams.




Qualifications:



  • Twelve (12) years of applicable experience in one of the following combinations:

    • High School degree + 12 years of relevant work history
    • An Associate's degree + 10 years of relevant work history
    • A Bachelor's degree + 8 years of work history
    • A Master's + 6 years of work history
    • PhD + 2 years of work history


  • Experience developing solutions integrating and extending COTS products
  • Software programming skills, especially Python


Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Pay Range: Competitive
