Junior Scientist II - Trauma Physiologist/Immunologist

Culmen International is seeking a Junior Scientist II - Trauma Physiologist/Immunologist to join our team in Silver Springs, Maryland.

The junior scientist II - trauma physiologist/immunologist shall have expertise in trauma physiology, immunology, animal model development, microbiology, and molecular biology.

The Junior Scientist II - Trauma Physiologist/Immunologist is responsible for:

Performing a variety of laboratory procedures and works as part of a scientific team to advance the understanding of biological questions to contribute to the advancement of product development
• Shall be familiar with the concepts, practices, and procedures in fields such as trauma physiology, immunology, animal model development, microbiology, molecular biology, clinical trials, and pathogen discovery
• Shall be capable of working independently and leading teams to resolve complex scientific questions to methodically advance the development of products
• Actively pursues the scientific objectives of the WID and contributes significantly to key strategic planning and the execution of future studies
• Leads the analysis and interpretation of data; writes proposals; solicits grants; establishes collaborations with other entities (e.g., universities); and presents data at meetings
• The junior scientist typically reports to a unit or department head

• Ph.D.
• Five years of experience in a designated field (e.g., trauma physiology, immunology, animal model development, microbiology)
