The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, America's eighth oldest institution of higher learning and New Jersey's premier public research university, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Higher rank appointments (such as Associate or Full Professors) will also be considered under exceptional circumstances.
We seek candidates in all areas of Earth and planetary sciences with emphasis in Geophysics/Geodynamics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in Earth sciences. We particularly welcome applications from candidates committed to promotion of equity and inclusion through their research, teaching, and/or service and to mentorship within one of the most diverse university communities in the country. We are open to candidates who have had non-traditional career paths, taken time off for family reasons, or achieved excellence in careers outside academia.

EPS has a strong tradition of cross-disciplinary research and of institutions that support collaborative work across departments, such as Physics & Astronomy and the Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute.
This position requires a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences, Planetary Sciences, or a related field.
