TITLE Bus Driver (Part-time) JOB SUMMARY Operates university vehicles to provide local and long-distance transportation, driving shuttle bus and motorcoach for students, faculty, staff and other authorized passengers from campus to and from approved destinations, including remote parking lots. Provides local and long-distance transportation, driving shuttle bus and motorcoach, for all passengers in a safe, timely, and professional manner to and from destinations. Communicates details of the trip with the chaperone such as verifying pick- up and drop-off locations, departure times, lodging/dining arrangements and possible changes. Responsible for ensuring pre and post-trip inspection of as well as correcting deficiencies as able. Must assure appropriate fluid levels, including fuel, as well as ensuring all systems operations before departures. Replenish fuel and make any report of necessary maintenance or repair to supervisor upon return to campus. Must ensure that the vehicle is clean and all loads are secured properly in order to maintain safety at all times. Work is performed under general supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Supervisor, Fleet Transportation Services Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following:

EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE Two years minimum driving experience transporting passengers in 30 passenger bus or larger. REQUIREMENT Must possess current CDL B Commercial Driver's License, (CDL B) license or higher with passenger (P) endorsement and air brake restriction removed. Must possess a safe driving record and be able to attain Driver's Authorization through Texas Woman's University upon employment. Must submit and pass all required DOT pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol screens. Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described in the Essential Duties and below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. The employee is required to work on-call, overnights, and weekends. Must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Must be able to lift and/or move 25 pounds or greater. Employees must report any unsafe work conditions or practices, as well as any near-miss incidents, to their supervisor and Risk Management. Supervisors and employees should ensure that injury/accident reports are submitted to the Office of Human Resources and Risk Management within 24 hours of the incident.
