JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Provides onsite program management support as part of a government led multi-functional team to manage and execute the Leading Inclusively Virtual Experience (LIVE) program services used by the Department of the Air Force to train and educate members. The position provides services for project management, virtual simulation facilitation training and execution, and delivery activities in support of Eaker Center/LIVE.

Work location: Maxwell AFB, Montgomery, AL

Essential Functions

  • Participate in a team of highly skilled professionals.
  • Coordinate with customer and technical leadership to ensure contract success.
  • Provides briefs and reports when required to senior leadership. Attend meeting and/or conferences when required.
  • Provides recommendations to Government supporting programming, budgeting, and execution for joint integration operations planning training.
  • Assist mission partners and customers to assess their needs, provide information, resolve problems, and satisfy their requirements.
  • Interface regularly with various departments to achieve program objectives.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Prepare program plans, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes as needed.
  • Provide monthly status briefings to senior-level customer stakeholders.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and administering LIVE facilitator courses
  • Engage with LIVE Eaker Center team, students, mission partners, and other government personnel to assist in overall execution of the LIVE facilitator course.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to system quality and programming standards, assure financials are tracked, completion dates are met, and desired results are achieved.
  • Assist with monitoring of functional area budgets to ensure efficient utilization of resources

Desired Skills and Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in project and resource management, preferably in a Government training environment
  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner via verbal presentations, producing written products, or otherwise informing senior stakeholders at the senior executive level
  • Ability to juggle, manage, and complete multiple projects. Prior experience working on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is a plus
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office product suite, and the ability to learn new software
  • The following certifications are preferred, but not required:
    1. Program Manager Professional (PMP) certification
    2. DAWIA Advance certification

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but could occasionally direct some employees on the project.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment working closely with customers. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, tablets, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Work location is onsite at Maxwell AFB. There is the potential for telework 1-2 days a week.

Physical Demands

The physical demands are similar to most office positions.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand, but are not anticipated to be frequent.

Travel

Some travel will be required.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 8-10 years of experience in project and resource management.

Preferred Education

Master's degree in related field or other relevant degree or certification.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
