The Role:

Our site in Colorado Springs is seeking a Supervisor, Engineering to lead a team to develop, implement and maintain standardized practices across all injection molding machines. This role involves using the scientific method to build robust systems and process controls, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments, including maintenance, tooling, setup, and engineers, to drive operational excellence, and manage employee development, all aimed at optimizing production efficiency and maintaining high product standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure all processes comply with industry standards and regulations.

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

  • Create and enforce standard operating procedures for all molding machines.

  • Establish and document best practices for injection molding processes.

  • Utilize the scientific method to design, analyze, and improve injection molding processes.

  • Monitor and control process variables to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency.

  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and product issues.

  • Work closely with maintenance, tooling, setup, and engineers to identify and address process inefficiencies.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery is operating at optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with the tooling department to design and implement effective tooling solutions.

  • Collaborate and oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely repairs.

  • Collect and analyze data to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare and present reports on process control and improvement activities to senior management.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of prior experience in a high volume fast paced manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, at all plant organizational levels.

  • Strong attention to detail, active listening skills, willing to learn, be hands on and work independently in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.

  • Lean and Six Sigma Black or Green belt preferred.

  • Salary in the $90,000K-$141,000K/year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
