Description
The HVAC Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for residential and commercial clients. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, quick and effective problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works in customer homes and businesses, maintaining a friendly, respectful, and clean presence on-site.
- Must have knowledge of the following equipment types:
- Systems: Boilers, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and water heaters
- Fuel types: Heating oil, natural gas, propane (LP), and electric
- Required to hold an EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification.
- Daily responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, and installing HVAC equipment:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine and annual cleanings and inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Service: Diagnose and resolve customer issues to restore equipment to proper working condition.
- Installation: Handle retrofits, replacements, and new installations of HVAC equipment.
- Tools (such as hand tools, tool bags/boxes, vacuums, and specialized tools) are transported by the technician to and from the vehicle as required for each job.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Should be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and work overhead as needed.
- Able to load and unload step ladders from company vehicles.
- Must be skilled in connecting, towing, parking, and disconnecting trailers.
- Able to use appliance hand trucks, including navigating loaded trucks up and down stairs.
- Expected to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized company vehicle:
- The vehicle is kept at the technician's home when off-duty.
- Used for traveling to and from scheduled jobs.
- Should be driven responsibly, following all company policies and local, state, and federal laws.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED: Required.
- HVAC Certification or Diploma: Completion of an accredited HVAC training program is preferre
