Position Description

QIAGEN's Director, Specialty Sales, dPCR is a key leadership position with the North American Sales organization managing the continuation of QIAGEN's digital PCR franchise. Overseeing a team of dPCR Specialty Sales Managers, this role is integral to the building of a market leading franchise.

- Responsible to achieve the revenue budget for dPCR throughout North America with accurate forecasting of related dPCR product revenues

- Ensure effective penetration in the North American market to provide pre- and post-sales technical support on digital PCR and supporting reagents, assays and content by influencing internal & external stakeholders

- Within a leadership position, ensures the team maintains and develops relationships with customers to increase customer satisfaction, drive new business opportunities and develop a robust reference database in all market segments

- In conjunction with dPCR Business Development Team, refine and adjust sales strategies and tools. Collaborate with regional Sales Directors and teams to align actions and leverage synergies to exceed sales targets

- Works closely together with regional and global marketing managers to provide market feedback and to develop to action plans

- Responsible for team's accurate and timely use of Salesforce.com, opportunity and funnel management, forecasting, userbase accuracy, etc

- Identify unmet needs and competition in the market & develop KOLs and references to drive new applications/ opportunities

- Fosters QIAGEN' s sample-to-insight offering and supports workflow sales outside of dPCR, from sample isolation down to data analysis and interpretation


Position Requirements

- Minimum of 8 years' in Regional sales and/or Business Development and/or Product marketing experiences.

- Minimum education: Bachelor of Science or equivalent.

- Experience of dPCR techniques, different dPCR instruments and molecular applications mandatory.

- Knowledge of relevant markets, applications and workflows.

- Strong verbal (oral and written), presentation and analytical business skills (with daily usage of Excel, Salesforce.com, etc) required.

- A combination of strategic mindset, tactical execution and interpersonal skills are the keys to success in this position.

- Location: Ideal candidate will based in a major city.
