The Commodities Data Science team applies new or advanced methods and technologies to build value across the Commodities business. Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility In this role, you will work with traders, analysts and quant research to develop advanced weather analytics products to understand and meet their specific weather-related requirements, drive technical platform build, and identify analytics projects that further support our business. This is a rapidly evolving area where your learning mindset, can-do attitude, and effective communication skills with a diverse set of stakeholders will see you succeed. What you offer Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Bachelor's/Masters/PhD in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related quantitative and problem-solving discipline with strong academic performance from a leading university Proven experience working with large weather data sets from any or all of ECMWF, GFS, Commodities Weather Group, etc Understanding of sub-seasonal to seasonal teleconnections to mid-latitude weather Strong python development and modelling skills, familiar with standard data science libraries and visualisation (streamlit, dash) Excellent communication skills, able to communicate complex ideas in an actionable manner We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
