Regions Hospital is a 150-year-old Tertiary Care Hospital and Level I Trauma Center with three associated specialty outpatient clinics. Regions' affiliated medical system includes seven hospitals and over 30 clinics in the region, offering a full spectrum of imaging modalities, including digital radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, and advanced imaging services (Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, SPECT, & PET). The successful candidate will join a team which includes, in total, three physicists and one physics associate. Working collaboratively, this team provides diagnostic medical physics, MRI safety, and radiation safety support to our system of hospitals and clinics. The Radiation Physics Associate works in support of the senior medical physicist and Radiation Safety Officer on institutional radiation physics goals, including implementation of the radiation safety and protection program, execution of quality control procedures, and image quality optimization. The Radiation Physics Associate should be familiar with radiology practice, radiologic technology, and radiation protection principles. The Radiation Physics Associate must be able to work independently and have sufficient interpersonal and leadership skills to interact with a wide range of professionals in our organization. Additional Information: This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift position working in Saint Paul, MN. The full salary range for this position is $74,568-$111,862.40 annually, based on experience, plus shift differentials. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits, which begin on day one of employment.
