Job Description |
ECU Department of University Scholarships is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented student to serve as a Student Office Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This student worker would assist with performing the following tasks:
- Proofreading, editing, and drafting correspondence and newsletters.
- Providing customer service to students/families and ECU staff/faculty in office or over the phones as needed.
- Assistance with planning, set up/break down, and attendance at a variety of scholar events.
- Organization of information for marketing and web site use.
- Literature searches and data collection.
- Filing documents, updating information, and other general duties as assigned.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to work with all populations. Applicants should also be competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Applicants must be available to work for a minimum of 10 hours each week and be prepared to develop a regular work schedule. Some flexibility will be required as events may take occur in the evenings and on weekends. |
