Domestic Abrams Production Program Manager - Execution Lead This position is responsible for leading a cross functional team in the execution of the Abrams Production program. Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all contract scope associated with the Abrams Requirements Contract for domestic orders, with a focus on on-time delivery, executing within budget and holding the organization for a high standard of quality. Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect: Act as the Program Lead, with full decision-making responsibility and authority at customer meetings, and internal meetings as necessary Leading routine and effective communication amongst the program/project teams to ensure program goals and expectations are known, challenges are uncovered, and risks are mitigated. Engaging at a leadership level to maintain overall awareness of the program and any significant risks. Lead internal program reviews to ensure functional teams are taking ownership of their scope and the broader organization has a knowledge of significant program events and challenges. Identify critical issues that will put on-going deliveries at risk and ensure the organization is properly staffed and energized to resolve the issue in a timely fashion. Holding the organization to a high standard that aligns with our customers expectation. When we fail, ensure as an organization and program GDLS shows up to make it right. Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded (Put the Customer First) while operating within the scope of the contract. Develop and foster a Positive Organizational environment to build a cohesive team (Workplace of Choice). Judiciously deploy management reserve to mitigate risk. Manage the overall program to balance meeting contract commitments and meeting the internal financial objectives of the program. Position Requirements: Bachelor's or higher degree. Demonstrated experience in Program Management, Project Management, Integrated Project Team (IPT) leadership, or related experience. 15+ years relevant experience in the defense industry or in a related production environment. Less years may be considered based on advanced degrees. Experience managing efforts and/or negotiating contracts with customer, teammates, and/or subcontractors. Understanding and experience with Government contracts. Experience with transition from development to production Experience with Risk Management Understanding and/or experience with program finances Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation Organizational capabilities to direct and lead others in a team based environment Knowledge of GDLS products, processes, and organization is preferred
