Customer Service Representative

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

Helps maintain an open communication network between the company and the customers by processing request for quotes, processing ordering forms and orders of materials from customers; tracking orders; inputting quotes into the database system; informs customers of changes made to their account; and will compile statistics to prepare reports for customers and management upon request.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Customer Service Representative: $13.00 to $20.00 hourly

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities Include:

  • Processes request for quotes including pricing and other information; records in quote log.
  • Edits orders received and informs customers of any changes made.
  • Processes order forms, enters quotes and other data into the database system; routes various forms to proper departments.
  • Checks inventory control and initiate purchase requisitions.
  • Receives and checks customers' complaints and issues Return Material Authorization numbers.
  • Expedites and tracks orders, sells excess material and assists shipping & receiving with packaging, when necessary,
  • Compiles statistics and prepares reports for customers or management upon request.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Customer Service Representative Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Education:

  • Highschool diploma or GED

Experience:

  • At least six months of relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, drawings, and technical descriptions.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Proficient in using various software, including:
    • Accounting systems
    • Database systems
    • Order processing systems
    • Inventory systems
    • Word processing, internet, and spreadsheet software

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Patience and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Accuracy and time management
  • Basic math skills, familiarity with fax machines, and filing skills

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications set by Cherokee Federal.
  • NOTE, this job is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license
  • Schedule 8am to 430pm M-F
  • On-site requirements - 100%
  • Bonus eligible
