Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking qualified individuals to join our team to provide engineering support for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense. This includes conducting Agile software engineering in a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) environment, performing Cloud architectural design, operation, and administration functions, and cyber security and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support. Also included are rapid design, development, test, deployment, maintenance and operation of specific software and hardware capabilities to meet current Cyber Defensive needs.

This is an on-site position at Dahlgren, Virginia. Mon-Fri Day hours (no remote or hybrid)

As our Cyber Systems Administrator you will have the opportunity to:

    Manages the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization, including the physical network (e.g., LANs/WANs, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle).
  • Configures, installs, maintains, and upgrades server applications and hardware.
  • Evaluates, tests, recommends, coordinates, monitors, and maintains information systems (IS) and cyber security policies, procedures, and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Ensures that IS and cyber security plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS and cyber security.
  • Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations, and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
  • Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IS and cyber security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware, and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents such as intrusion, frauds, attacks, or leaks.


Qualifications

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD. Four years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum certification as 541 at the Basic level per DOD 8140.01, or successor IAT Level II Certification
  • Ability to travel up 25%
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Valid/current Passport

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
