Senior Controller

Responsible for general financial validation, analysis and reporting of Construction activities.This position will direct the Finance Controller team to provide overall portfolio reporting, assist with month-end tasks and assume financial reporting ownership of individual Construction contracts as needed.

Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and validate project revenue and cost updates from multiple departmental sources
  • Review new project contracts as assigned to confirm accounting guidelines are upheld and sales assumptions understood
  • Support month end close activities related to construction financial reporting
  • Support audit and budget efforts
  • Coordinate with management to share responsibility for departmental demands and create innovative ideas to improve accuracy and effectiveness
  • Assist the Construction Finance teams with ad-hoc projects and assist in preparing management reports
  • Provide excellent customer service within the organization to promote accurate reporting and good decision-making support
  • Perform other ad hoc financial analysis & reporting



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related subject. Masters, CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of financial experience required
  • Current systems skills including MS Office Suite, SAP and BI.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability, some OT may be required
  • Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision
  • Attention to details and build smart well-organized spreadsheets



Competencies:



  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Establish proficiency or develop a full understanding of SAP/BI/Analysis tools
  • Demonstrate ability to comprehend complex issues, exercise critical thinking, and ask complex questions in respectful interactions with fellow employees
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
