What you will do
- As part of the Brightly Software Cyber Security team, you will support the Cyber Security Program focusing on a variety of topics across our product portfolio and corporate security.
- Use your understanding of different vulnerability types with the ability to look at our application code and work with engineering our teams to determine if a vulnerability is relevant for us or a false positive.
- Align practices of threat, configuration, and patch management with required compliance standards, security frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Provide security expertise and consulting to teams across the enterprise.
- Assist in responding to and remediating security events, incidents, and alerts.
- Collaborate with the Cyber Security team to ensure successful completion of our roadmaps and initiatives.
- Leverage an agile approach to make iterative advancements toward individual, team, and organizational goals.
- Promote the adoption of a positive security culture throughout the organization by educating, assisting, listening to, and advising Brightly Software team members.

What you need
- 1-3 years of experience in Cyber Security.
- University degree in related discipline or relevant work experience in a similar role.
- A strong understanding of networking concepts and system vulnerabilities is crucial. This includes knowledge of how networks operate, common vulnerabilities, and how to protect against them.
- Shows initiative in exploring new concepts, skills, and technologies. Curiosity in security challenges, threats, and technologies is required.
- Resourceful individual who cultivates fresh ideas, drives implementation of solutions, and embodies a passion for continuous growth and refinement.
- Experience using vulnerability management, scanners, cloud configuration solutions, and/or SIEM tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in a scripting language like Python, Bash, or PowerShell is required.
- AWS Cloud experience is required.
- Information Security certifications (Security+, (ISC)2 CC, CySA+, etc.) a plus.
- Offensive Security/Pen test certifications (OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, CEH, etc.) a plus
- Ability to work independently and with a team in different geographic locations.
- High work ethic and sense of ownership for the delivered results.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written) and comfort communicating security risks and controls to technical and non-technical partners required.

. The pay range for this position is <$75,000 - $110,000>. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location
