100% REMOTE Medical Coder Must have own equipment Must be located in one of the following: MD, PA, VA, WV, District of Columbia Job Details: * Schedule: Monday- Friday - flex schedule * Contract to hire * Location: 100% REMOTE (MUST provide your own laptop & have reliable internet) Qualifications: * At least 2-3+ years of coding experience Must have - inpatient, outpatient, Emergency Department coding experience * Must have one of the following: CCS, CCS-P, COC, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA required * MUST be located in one of the following states: MD, PA, VA, WV, District of Columbia * CANDIDATES PROVIDE THEIR OWN EQIUPMENT AND MUST HAVE RELIABLE HIGH SPEED INTERNET Description: * Following established conventions and guidelines, codes and abstracts the medical records of inpatients. * Groups codes to determine diagnosis related groupings (DRGs - CMS and/or APR). * Primarily handling non-trauma but still very complex IP records. * May also be asked to code day surgery, emergency and outpatient records. * Meets departmental accuracy and production standards of 2 charts per day with 98% accuracy.
