THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will significantly enhance the health of Pennsylvanians by supporting patient-centered tuberculosis (TB) outreach and control efforts in the culturally diverse communities of the South Central District. Your duties include filing and distributing TB reports, x-rays, and lab results while ensuring compliance with confidentiality protocols. You will maintain essential documents, collect and analyze TB data, prepare statistical summaries, and generate regular reports on TB cases and clinic activities. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks such as setting up clinics, weighing patients, contacting those who missed appointments, and coordinating X-ray collections.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school; or equivalent certification or formal training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    1. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
