Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7)

Department/Organization: 830101 - Career Center Admin

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Career Center Program Manager provides oversight and planning for the development, implementation, and delivery of program(s), service(s), and/or activity(ies) within the Career Center. Coordinates career development and engagement efforts. Provides oversight for career-related outreach and marketing to students, alumni, and prospective students.

Additional Department Summary: Reports to the Career Center at Culverhouse Director. Provides oversight and planning for the delivery of career services to students, prospective students, and alumni within Culverhouse College of Business. Works alongside administration, faculty, and staff in order to maximize the delivery of services for all business students. Coordinates with Career Center staff, Division of Student Life staff, Culverhouse College of Business and other divisions of the university, external constituents, and vendors. Initiates and provides leadership and training to staff within the Career Center at Culverhouse for outreach and programming efforts. Promotes respectful and participation of individuals and organizations to achieve success, so that appropriate services are provided to all student populations within the Culverhouse College of Business. Stays current on industry trends and develop and implement a marketing and student outreach plan based on the needs of the individual disciplines within the College. Participates in regional and national professional organizations and conferences related to the mission and services of The Career Center. Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of career advising or employer relations experience; OR master's degree and some career advising or employer relations experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to problem solve and think critically. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, including public speaking. Strong organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills. Enhanced knowledge of technology, computers, and standard software programs. Knowledge of Career Theory and Development. Ability to adapt. Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of UA who can provide information, assistance and support to meet mutual goals and objectives. Ability to perform UA job duties/responsibilities in a way consistent with UA's values and principles. Ability to set an example by consistently modeling high standards of performance, honesty, and truthfulness. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships by listening to the student/customer and understanding and responding to identified needs. Demonstrates commitment to supporting all students.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, education, human resources, or related field. Two (2) years in a university setting preferably working in Career Services.
