We are seeking an experiencedHR Data Scientistto join ourPeople Analyticsteam. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping evidence-based decision-making within our organization. As an HR Data Scientist, you will apply statistical theory and methods to collect, interpret, and summarize HR data. Your insights will drive strategic initiatives, enhance employee experiences, and optimize talent management processes. This role will report to the Director of People Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Analytical Skills and Data Science Principles: Utilize strong analytical skills and knowledge of data science principles to extract meaningful insights from HR data. Translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable recommendations for HR professionals with non-technical backgrounds.
- Strategic Advising: Collaborate with HR leadership to advise HR Executives and Leaders on business problems. Provide clear and actionable recommendations to address challenges related to HR processes and services.
- Metrics and Insights: Deliver meaningful metrics, trends, and key insights across all areas of HR support. Analyze data related to the employee lifecycle, ROI, and efficiency.
- Forecasting and Machine Learning: Develop HR-focused forecasting and machine learning models to predict employee outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct both simple and advanced data analysis to uncover trends and correlations related to employee performance, engagement, retention, and other HR metrics. Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven insights.
- Data Visualization: Design and create compelling visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings and trends to stakeholders. Utilize data visualization tools effectively to tell a compelling story.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, I/O psychology or a related field with emphasis on quantitative analysis.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science or a similar quantitative role with HR/People analytics.
- Experienced with data extraction/manipulation, visualizations, data storytelling, developing storyboards/dashboards, and generating insights.
- Ability to translate ambiguous questions into structured hypotheses, identifying key drivers and creating compelling narratives and insights.
- Hands-on experience with one or more BI Platforms/visualization tools, with strong preference for Tableau.
- Experience developing, managing and analyzing employee engagement surveys, preferable in Qualtrics.
- Experience building and debugging data pipelines.
- Preference for experience with Workday.
