Your Role

Gensler Denveris looking for a talented, technically focused Architect or Technical Designer for our growing and dynamic mission critical team working on hyperscale data center design. As a Mid Level Technical Designer in our Denver office, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. It's your job to collaborate with a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. With you as part of the design team, architecture has never been so engaging. You will leverage your technical acumen and Revit skills to drive client projects from concept through build in a collaborative team.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver informed project solutions based on market expertise and an understanding of client goals

  • Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)

  • Coordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants

  • Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutions

  • Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks

  • Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts

  • Responsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality

  • Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs

  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project

  • Actively participate and contribute to the financial performance of project

  • Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design Manager

  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program

  • 5+ years of post-graduation related experience as a Technical Designer, or Architect

  • Highly proficient with Revit

  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures

  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development

  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Collaborative and team-conscious

  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships through successful project delivery

  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other 3D modeling software

  • State licensure or LEED accreditation (or in process) a plus

  • Must include resume and work samples to be considered. Applicants without samples will not qualify for consideration.

**Compensation is based upon experience and estimated range is $75,000 - $100,000 annually + bonuses + benefits

*This is not a remote position. The successful candidate will be expected to live in or relocate to the Denver area upon acceptance.
