PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the efficient and effective performance ofHome Infusion billing and collection functions. Trains staff. Maintains information system. Reviews complex aged accounts, maximizing collections and minimizing write-offs. Manipulates information system to gain billing efficiencies.

The position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

bull; Supports Manager in maintaining billing/collection process and meeting departmental goals through coordination and monitoring of daily activities. Informs Billing Manager of internal or external problems that affect billing and collection process. Monitors the billing and cash results in relation to company monthly goals.

bull; Maintains knowledge of billing and cash posting processes for all payers, and assists in daily functions in those areas as necessary to meet departmental goals.

bull; Establish and implement controls to ensure appropriate charge entry, claims submission and payment posting cycles, including but not limited to month-end close deadlines.

bull; Ensures that revenue is appropriately captured and policies and procedures are adhered to

bull; Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership qualities required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in healthcare/insurance billing and collections, at least three of which involved Home Infusion.
• Familiarity with computer based billing and collection systems.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing applications required. Excellent organizational and interpersonal/communications skills required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional knowledge of government and third-party payor regulations.
