The Construction Site Engineering (CSE) group is part of the Bettis Construction Department and is responsible for the management and implementation of the site's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit, supporting all construction projects involving earth disturbances. The group is also responsible for the waste characterization for all construction contracts. This position will participate in the overall administration of this permit in accordance with Pennsylvania's Clean Streams Law, the federal Clean Water Act, and Chapter 102 regulations. In addition, this position will collaborate with construction project execution teams, construction subcontractors, and Environmental Compliance personnel to ensure all efforts regulated under the NPDES General Permit support and comply with the Chapter 103 Industrial NPDES permit requirements. This position will also perform waste characterizations of existing building elements and soil in support of renovation, demolition, and excavations for construction projects.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree in the biological, geological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation in engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in the biological, geological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation and a minimum of four years of relevant experience Preferred Skills

Pay Range
$92,900.00 - $145,200.00 annually The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
