Job Objective:
Assists Production Foreman with supervision of assigned field operations, maintenance of production equipment, construction projects, and planning, tracking, and controlling daily expenses/costs. Monitors daily production, helps optimize plant operation, and supervises Facility operators and contract employees.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe operations at the facility, adhering to company and industry safety standards.
- Oversee all energy isolations in the facility
- Ensure all Operations, SDM's and Energy Isolation procedures are current and reviewed
- Performs daily operational requirements, including maximizing production rates, analyzing process conditions, and initiating actions to meet production and cost targets.
- Identifies operational challenges and supports direct reports in initiating solutions.
- Ensures the Management of Change (MOC) process is followed, reviewing all MOCs prior to start-up.
- Supervises Facility Operators and contract employees, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
- Oversees maintenance and construction projects within the facility, coordinating with contractors and facility operators to ensure timely and effective completion.
- Initiates daily reports on assigned projects, including tracking and managing costs.
- Adheres to the company's core values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
- Supports the company's vision and mission, contributing to long-term goals and strategic objectives.
- Adheres to established work schedules, meets attendance standards, and is punctual to work and meetings.
- Supervises and ensures accuracy and timely submission of required regulatory reports.
- Facilitates training and mentoring programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of personnel within Milne Field Operations team.
- Utilizes Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams for effective planning, resource scheduling, and team collaboration. This includes creating and managing project timelines, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication across departments.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Production Foreman/Superintendent.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement within the MPU and implements actionable plans to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping sensitive information confidential.
- Supervises personnel, assists with employee performance evaluations, and provides regular feedback to support development.
- Demonstrates availability 24/7 while on the Slope (on-call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Writes and communicates comprehensive handover notes to ensure a smooth transition during shift changes or to alternate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years minimum experience in the operation of oil and gas production facilities.
- Ability to work a fourteen (14) day on and fourteen (14) day off 12 hour shift work schedule.
- Sound technical knowledge of facility operations, oil processing, applicable regulations, and safety systems.
- Mastery of mechanical skills.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to work long hours
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Ability to travel to remote locations via large and small planes, helicopter or boat.
- Ability to work in Arctic conditions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing workforce.
- Good management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Projects for the Web
Education Requirements:
- Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
