Database Facilities Technician needed for a long term contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Londonderry, NH.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, installing, configuring and administering databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long and short range requirements, operational guidelines, protection and logical-physical database design. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Identifies, evaluates and recommends relevant COTS software tools. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Responsible for performance monitoring, database tuning, identification and correction of performance bottlenecks. Responsible for overall database reliability and availability including database architectures, upgrades, performance, and tools and software installation and maintenance and installation of application software germane to database repositories. Design and develop appropriate software as needed to provide essential architectural functionality not present in COTS software solutions. Collaborate with engineering, security and IT functions to ensure quality and integrity of databases, application software and data.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge.
  • Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.
  • Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.
  • Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.
  • Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Brightly or other similar CMMS software i.e. Maximo or Faciliworks
