The Bio-Med Specialist I performs maintenance and repair of specialty medical equipment associated with the Equipment Management Program under the direction of the Bio-Med Director. Specialty medical equipment consists of High-end general biomed equipment and/or general X-Ray equipment. This individual has received Specialty Technical Training and is certified to work on specialty equipment. At the clinical level, this individual will create the impression carried by the facility clinical staff. Pride and professionalism, as well as technical expertise, must be exhibited at all times for the success of all concerned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
1. Two years' experience in the field of Bio-Medical instrumentation service and maintenance.
2. Certificate in specialty modality preferred.
3. Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology or equivalent preferred.
