Job Overview
The Sales Planning Data Modeler for Sales Strategy & Enablement at T-Mobile is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining models to enhance our sales strategies (specifically Anaplan). This role involves intricate collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient modeling solutions that support sales capacity planning, territory management, and compensation strategies. By integrating and optimizing data from various sources, the Model Builder ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of sales forecasts and planning. Their expertise in Anaplan tools and systems enables robust decision-making and strategic implementations across the sales divisions. This is a role that requires significant financial background and acumen, inclusive of building financial models & business case creation in support of optimizing capacity planning for T-Mobile Business Group. This role will also provide support in sales channel strategy programs including data mining, analytics, and reporting etc., as needed. Overall, the Custom Model Builder plays a vital role in driving T-Mobile's sales operations forward through innovative data solutions and analytical prowess.
Job Responsibilities:
Model Development: Design, build, and maintain Anaplan models to support various aspects of sales capacity planning, territory management, and quota/compensation support. Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources into Anaplan, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. Work with data teams to reconcile differences with other data platforms. Optimization: Continuously refine and optimize Anaplan models to improve forecasting accuracy across all regions and expansions in categories and hierarchies. Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of Anaplan models to ensure they meet business requirements and perform as expected. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in Anaplan models in a timely manner and data to maintain the integrity of the system. 10% Collaboration: Work closely with sales operations, enablement, and leadership teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Anaplan solutions. Work closely with data engineering reporting/analytics teams to continuously improve data performance and troubleshooting. 10% Provides support and project management external to Anaplan as assigned by business management as needed, such as but not limited to channel strategy programs projects, one-off and recurring data models/analytics/reporting, support capacity/finance forecast and assessment. 15% Engages in continuous learning and training on new tools and techniques relevant to Anaplan and sales channel strategy. 5%
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Computer Science, Informatics, information Services or related field or equivalent experience (Required) Master's/Advanced Degree Data Science or Business Analytics (Preferred)
Work Experience:
2-4 years Proven Anaplan experience with at least 3-5 years as an Anaplan Model Builder, certified at level 3. Certified solution architect a plus. (Required) 2-4 years Proficiency in Anaplan integration with data sources and other platforms/systems. (Required) 2-4 years Data engineering, data modeling, SQL/database analytics, statistics, and/or reporting experience. (Preferred) 2-4 years Experience with IT Program/Project Management a plus (User Stories, Requirements, Solutioning, UAT, Implementation) (Preferred) 2-4 years Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio) (Required) 2-4 years Advanced acumen with Salesforce.com, Snowflake, and Power BI environments (Required) 2-4 years Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement (Required)

Base Pay Range: $102,700 - $185,300
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
