Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $84.78 - $109.85 (Hourly Rate).

Department Description

St. Mary's Medical Center and associated outpatient clinics are now part of UCSF Health. This addition give us the opportunity to offer primary and secondary care in more places and increases UCSF Health's ability to care for patients with complex medical needs. Combining community care with academic medicine makes convenient, comprehensive care easier to access for all our patients.

Required Qualifications

• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent adult nursing telemetry experience
• Demonstrate competency of telemetry interpretation, knows critical rhythms and is able to interpret cardiac rhythms
• Experience with Philips telemetry monitoring system

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 year acute care nursing experience
• PCRN or CCRN certification
• Cardiac transitional care, or intensive care unit experience
• Charge nurse experience
• Experience in critical care setting strongly preferred, but combination of education, other experience and specialty training may be considered

License/Certification

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
