Job Purpose

The Specification Control Specialist main focus is to ensure that newly established part numbers are accurately identified with supplier/application information, submitted for appropriate maintenance to the AH Masterfile, and distributed to necessary associates. The Specialist contributes to AHM's customer service mission by ensuring part numbers are established for customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Engineering Design Change reviews
  • Success of GIOS usage and program
  • New Model Planning for assigned factories
  • Spec Control Activities / Logs as required
  • New Model Projects as assigned

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 0 to 2 years experience in a procurement, production control, or engineering capacity
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
  • High level of PC Skills
  • BOM familiarity
