Job Purpose

Evaluate and provide technical engineering expertise for mew model projects as well as maintaining Mass Production systems with design changes and updates.

Key Accountabilities



  • Investigate long term quality and delivery problems; research in Mass Production: Receive, evaluate and inform AF of design changes and MI's affecting their processes. Provide daily support for VIOS, GALC issues, as well as Quality concerns, work towards countermeasure.
  • New Model Activity: New Model Project leadership, drawing analysis; design, develop, test, and create processes or fixtures to be implemented in production; test and develop countermeasures for past problem history; provide technical leadership in assigned area of responsibility to ensure understanding of spec; designs processes to achieve quality, delivery, and safety criteria.
  • Complex Analysis: Utilize line control data, data analytics, and engineering principles to identify root cause of complex manufacturing concerns; generate reports or presentations to communicate the activity; lead countermeasure implementation.
  • Business Plan: Support Business Plan themes as assigned each year by department or plant leadership; create and execute plans to achieve Business Plan theme goals; provide quarterly progress updates to management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilize engineering principles to improvement methods; develop and execute improvement plans.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or 8 years related experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience
  • 3D Modeling Software Experience (CATIA Preferred), Project Management, Manufacturing Process know-how, Statistical Process Control, Data Analytics, Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings, Ability to issue CRF's


Workstyle



  • Must be willing to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
  • Must be able to support manufacturing as needed (may include handwork, online inspections, or temporarily support a production process)
  • Must be able to collaborate with associates from many different backgrounds (including management, other engineers, and Manufacturing Technicians)
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must possess interpersonal skills
  • Must possess knowledge of the manufacturing environment
  • Must have written and oral communication skills to present to various audiences
