This position can be a remote role or reside in one of our Akron, Columbus, Pensacola or Jacksonville offices.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated licensed architect specializing in hospitality to lead our Hospitality team. This position will provide the individual with an opportunity to grow their talents and increase exposure in the AE Hospitality area. The selected candidate will be instrumental in growing the Hospitality Market Sector and providing Design and Project Management Leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies, plan, and achieve growth objectives, and achieve new award targets and other established metrics for key client accounts.
  • Formulate client strategies and implement tactics that will successfully identify opportunities and win new sources of project revenue in the Hospitality Space.
  • Engage with the Hospitality group in the areas of design, facilitating charrettes, sharing knowledge of working with specific brand standards, guiding production of documents.
  • Collaborates with PRIME AE's inter-office divisions - MEP, Structural Engineering, Civil/Landscape - as well as external subconsultants.
  • Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with Detailed Design Documents.
  • May prepare client project proposals, presentations, studies, and reports.
  • Utilizing computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans - specifically Revit is a plus.
  • May direct activities required in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase through Occupancy and closeout of the project.
  • Develop relationships with client project managers to strengthen Business Development efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Professional Architecture Degree from an accredited school.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • 10 years' combined experience in hospitality design and project management.
  • Experienced in all phases of project design, construction documentation and construction materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening and written communication, including client presentations.
  • Experience with coordination of multiple design disciplines required for developing complete documents.
  • Proficient in Revit and experience with AutoCAD a plus.
  • Strong knowledge base of building codes, standards, building structures, and engineering systems.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
