OVERVIEW The Consumer and Market Insights team within the Morning Foods Operating Unit is seeking an Associate to lead consumer insights to guide innovation and renovation for our Cereal business on some of General Mills' most iconic brands. We're looking for a passionate and agile Associate who can inspire trust, candor and integrity as part of the Consumer and Market Insights team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Consumer & Market Insights for brands such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese's Puffs, Golden Grahams, Lucky Charms and Trix.
- Participate in innovation sprints and intensives or step into the highest priority projects in the operating unit when coverage and support is needed.
- Be a strategic and trusted partner with Marketing and R&D that consistently supports bold decision making by productively challenging & bolstering ideas with objectivity & creativity.
- Illuminate opportunities by staying on top of the consumer & competitive landscape to identify valued challenges.
- Understand business challenges to effectively design and execute learning plans that will deliver actionable insights to guide Brand Innovation and Renovation.
- Leverages breadth of data & insights to illuminate consumer and business drivers of performance.
- Be a consumer advocate by creatively enabling teams to richly understand consumers to develop solutions for Morning Foods.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Market Research or other related field
- 1 -3 years of experience in CMI or related field, including experience with modern qualitative and quantitative methods of learning
- Previous experience in core CMI capabilities and engaging leadership behaviors:
- Foster Agility Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity, work in an agile environment, and manage shifting priorities and multiple concurrent work streams
- Learning Design Leadership Ability to identify and leverage the appropriate mix of approaches, partners & tools to address the most critical business questions
- Influential Communication Experience influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams, within CMI teams, and/or across enterprise
- Compelling Storytelling Ability to synthesize data to build and tell a compelling consumer story with credibility
- Passionate about solving problems & bringing solutions to consumers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or Master's Degree in related field
- Prior experience in CMI or a client facing role in a research agency
- Experience with agile and iterative learning methods
- Expertise in a variety of traditional and modern qualitative and quantitative research techniques, specifically for innovation, branding & packaging
- Experience using Nielsen scanner and panel data to diagnose business performance and guide strategy
- Self-starter who's able proactively find ways to add value

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $68700.00 - $114600.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
