Purpose of Position

Ensures that all necessary documents pertaining to the release of an aircraft from a scheduled or unscheduled maintenance event are reviewed and meet Federal Regulations, NJA's General Maintenance Manual, and NJA's FAA-Approved Inspection Programs similar to a Quality Control Inspector. Verify individuals performing maintenance are approved and have appropriate rating(s) for the work being performed. Perform updates to the NJA Computerized Maintenance Tracking System for Inspections and component replacement. Supervises, in an executive capacity, the maintenance or alteration of aircraft on the NetJets Part 135 Operating Certificate
The RTS Specialist is responsible to the RTS Supervisor for the day-to-day operation and any issues they encounter..

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance Ensures that NetJets Aviation (NJA) remains compliant with regulations when maintenance providers are performing inspections, component replacement etc. on NJA aircraft. Ensures maintenance providers performing Airworthiness Release per CFR *135.443(b)(3) for aircraft certificated for 10 or more passenger seats are appropriately rated. Ensures that the signature of the individual performing the Airworthiness Release (AWR) is verified to be current by reviewing the Airworthiness Release authorization roster. Ensures that maintenance providers performing Required Inspection Items (RII) per CFR *135.429(a), are authorized to do so. Ensures that the signature of the individual performing an RII inspection is verified by reviewing the RII Authorization roster. Reviews documentation for Major Repairs and Major Alterations to ensure compliance with CFR *43, Appendix B.
  • General Maintenance Manual Compliance Ensure General Maintenance Manual (GMM) requirements for aircraft undergoing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance events are followed. Verify proper documentation is received and reviewed for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance performed by maintenance providers on aircraft, and that all documentation meets NJA 14 CFR 135 GMM requirements.
  • Inspection Program Compliance and Maintenance Tracking Ensures compliance with the NJA Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs (AAIP's) and Continuous Inspection Programs (CIP's) for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Ensure that maintenance documentation is reviewed and accurately entered into the NJA Computerized Maintenance Tracking System to include discrepancies, and part transactions. Ensure that all time tracked components and scheduled inspection items are reviewed and updated, and are tracking properly in the NJA Computerized Maintenance Tracking System per CFR *135.439(a)(2) prior to aircraft release from a scheduled or unscheduled maintenance event.
  • Flight Tracking System Updates Ensures OCF requirements have been identified and OCF flights have been entered in the flight tracking system for those requirements prior to maintenance event release. Ensures weight and balance changes have been reviewed for accuracy and forwarded to the proper departments for updates to the flight tracking system prior to next flight. Ensures paperwork for aircraft operating on Special Flight Permit has been reviewed to ensure aircraft has been inspected and is safe for flight.
  • Vendor Communication Maintains a professional relationship and open lines of communication with the NetJets contracted maintenance vendors and OEM Representatives. If requested, will travel to NetJets designated maintenance providers' facilities to observe maintenance on Company aircraft, act as a liaison to the RTS Department, and ensure maintenance documentation is complete and/or corrected before it is sent to the Return to Service Department.

  • Minimum of 2 yrs Aircraft QC Inspection or
  • Minimum of 2 yrs Aircraft Fleet Management or
  • Minimum of 2 yrs Aircraft Maintenance Controller
  • Plus at least 4 yrs Aircraft Technician experience in line maintenance and heavy maintenance or
  • A3933t least 4 yrs Aircraft Technician with a corporate operator
