Peabody Essex Museum is seeking a full-time Media Production Specialist that will report to the Associate Director of Media Production. This role will support the production and design of content for all departments including Marketing and Exhibition Design and be specialized primarily in providing content capture and creation for museum-related projects related to museum exhibitions and programs. Major responsibilities include: operation of video and photography equipment; maintaining media equipment in a variety of museum venues (exhibitions, meeting spaces, indoor and outdoor event spaces); ensuring all equipment is in good working order by working with the Media Resources team including the Media Resources Manager, and external tech support; collaborating with museum staff to capture professional quality media recordings related to exhibitions, programs, and events; including interactives, short documentaries, promotional videos, motion graphics, and more. Part of the job responsibilities also includes working closely with the Media Production team on special projects! The right candidate for this role will need to available to work evening and weekend events. Qualifications: A college degree in related technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience; requires strong technical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills; experience working with all types of video and photo production equipment and computer content creation software (Mac and/or PC); event audiovisual skills a plus. The hourly range for this role is $20.50 to $21.40 commensurate with experience.
