Position Summary
This is a part-time position for a reliable student providing customer service at the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) public service desk. Flexible shifts include daytime (8am-5pm) Monday-Friday hours and Saturday (12pm-5pm) hours. 15 hour a week position, work study only.
Duties include:
  • Assisting students, faculty, staff and members of the public with resource access, reference, and general questions in person, over the phone, and on chat
  • Checking library materials in/out
  • Assisting with opening and closing the library
  • Helping users with printing and computers
  • Shelving returned items and shelf-reading the collection
  • Assisting users with 3D printing, virtual reality, and the Anatomage anatomy table
  • Participating in projects and other duties as assigned

  • Work study award
  • Working knowledge of technology, including troubleshooting of computers, printers, and scanners
  • Flexible schedule both weekday and weekend shifts
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience working in a library
