Position Summary |
This position will be responsible for overseeing and conducting trials within the Department of Surgery.
The ideal candidate should be able to implement and manage a variety of clinical study coordinator duties to include start-up, regulatory, trial conduct, study subject management, as well as financial management.
This position is also responsible for managing and supervision of research staff, including: organizing and planning work operations within the group, administer clinical trials and projects, manage human resource related items as needed, and develop procedures and policies for the group. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
The individual in this position must be able to multi-task effectively. The individual will be responsible for the coordination and management of multiple clinical trials in various stages (development, design, enrollment, follow-up, data collection; analysis, etc). This individual must be able to communicate effectively with a number of different staff from various disciplines as well as study subjects (i.e., clinical communication versus layman's terminology for study subjects). Critical thinking skills are also significant in this position as the individual will help to provide information on the study subjects to the Pl related to any abnormal findings (i.e. lab or clinical testing results) and to help coordinate any actions required for the subject. |
