STV is seeking a Traffic Engineering Team Leader to join our Transportation division in Georgia. This role is essential to our traffic engineering team, offering the opportunity to work on diverse transportation projects across STV's South/Central region. You'll collaborate closely with our Traffic Engineering Director to oversee project schedules, manage resources, and ensure timely, budget-friendly delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. This position also involves supervising and mentoring junior staff while contributing technical expertise to a range of projects.

Our projects include highway and interchange design, roadway widening, intersection improvements (including innovative intersections), and bicycle/pedestrian enhancements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in delivering accurate traffic operations services for Departments of Transportation, counties, municipalities, and private clients.

  • Support the Traffic Engineering Director with strategic planning, resource allocation, schedule management, and budget adherence.

  • Collaborate with design teams to develop quality deliverables within established timelines and budgets.

  • Perform QA/QC for traffic engineering deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.

  • Assist in preparing specifications, cost estimates, and reports, and develop final bid packages.

  • Build and maintain client and project manager relationships, acting as a primary interface for project discussions.

  • Mentor and guide staff, including training and direction, and support the development of technical and cost proposals.

  • Contribute to RFP responses and offer strategic insights for pursuing future projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.

  • Minimum of 16 years of engineering experience.

  • Active Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states (such as SC, TN).

  • Extensive experience working with GDOT, along with familiarity with other regional municipalities, is highly desired.

Compensation Range:

$85,226.60 - $113,635.46
