Position Summary The Tire Team Senior Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the distribution center including the security of the facility. This position will ensure inventory and shipment accuracy by monitoring and maintaining warehouse systems and databases. This position will serve as a back-up to the Tire DC Manager and will have full responsibility of the facility at least 25% of the time. This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and supervision to the distribution center associates
- Assign daily tasks and duties in a manner which ensures a constant and steady flow of stock into and out of the facility
- Train, coach and develop distribution center associates
- Comply with and enforce all safety standards and requirements to assure a safe and hazard free workplace
- Ensure all employees keep work areas organized
- Oversee all inventory control policies and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy
- Maintain physical condition of the facility
- Back-up the Tire DC Manager/Operations Manager when they are out of the facility
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Valid driver's license with no DUIs is required
- 3 -- 5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing or similar is required
- 1 -- 3 years of supervisory experience is required
- Tire and parts product knowledge or ability to obtain product knowledge is required
- Hazmat and/or forklift certification is a plus
- Ability to read instructions, policies, procedures, bills of lading, and product descriptions is required
- Ability to complete written forms is required
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement and work independently
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays

- Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Frequent standing, walking, pushing and reaching for long periods of time
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting

- Climb up and down ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
- May work outside and be exposed to weather
