Technician

This position will report to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for various work assignments throughout the shop area.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all operations associated with part finishing removal of burrs, blending of surfaces on complex geometry using various hand and power tools
• Mark, label and package machine parts to be sent out for outside processes.
• Drive to outside process houses (approximately 5% of the time) as needed.
• Install H-coils into piece parts using insert tooling without damage to hardware.
• Willing to learn to load piece parts into machine.
• Complete transactions in MRP system (Basic PC skills in a Windows environment)
• Stage WIP for machine, material and tooling as needed for CNC machines.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
• Select and document proper tools according to setup sheets
• Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations.

Job Specifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must demonstrate ability to setup and monitor equipment through written and verbal instructions.
• Minimum 1+ years ofmanufacturing related experience with ability to use and read various measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform fine mechanical assembly.
• Defense and Aerospace Industry experience including working knowledge of company product lines a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
