Security Assistant - On Call

We are searching for an on-call Security Assistant to support our Corporate Headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. Protection of property, people, assets, and information is an important component of our Security program.

• Direct/Escort vendors and other visitors around the campus.
• Provide security oversight for contractor activities taking place on campus and provide situational awareness for Security Operations team.
• Understand and enforce security and access control policies in a professional and personable manner.
• Good interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of individuals.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and carry out directions.
• Strong situational awareness.
• Strong customer service skills. Must be able to work with customers and other visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Candidates who demonstrate solid work discipline may be given exposure to additional job duties associated with our physical, administrative, information, and cyber security environments.

• The schedule is based on internal support needs so candidates must be willing and able to work flexible hours or fill shifts as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is retired, going to school, or looking for supplemental income.
• High School Diploma or GEDU.S. Citizenship
• Valid CA Driver's License
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

• Ability to take direction and accurately carry out tasking as instructed.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to document security incidents and other events clearly and succinctly.
• Must be capable of standing/walking for extended time periods.
• Open availability to support the Security Operations team during day, afternoon, nights, and weekend shifts.
