Job SummaryThe Manager, Billing & Commissions is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Billing Team and evaluating and selecting risks while overseeing the daily workflow to meet established standards of quality and quantity. Supervisory responsibilities include client service and premium reconciliation staff members.

**This is a hybrid role. Candidates must live within a 250-mile radius of West Des Moines, IA. After training, candidates are expected to work at least 2 days in office/ 3 days remote weekly**

Required Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • 3 years Accounting, Finance or Business experience

  • Previous supervisory or management experience

  • Experience leading a team with daily responsibilities and deadlines

  • Self-directed individual who works well with minimal supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent math and accounting skills

  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively with employees/members, providers, clients and differing levels of co-workers including Client Managers and all levels of staff

  • Ability to use common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form

  • Ability to effectively deal with problems in varying situations and reach resolution

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents

  • Flexible; open to continued process improvement

  • Ability to learn new/proprietary systems, to adapt to various system platforms, and to effectively use MS Excel/Word/Outlook

Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

  • Knowledge of licensing & commission
