About the Role: The Lead People Development Partner is an experienced and motivated individual who delivers development opportunities and consultation to enhance competencies and effectiveness to a variety of WGU audiences. This role contributes to analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions. This role is responsible for learners' success in achieving learning objectives and providing data-driven results. This role will partner, influence, and collaborate with highly confidential talent management activities. The Lead People Development Partner is a resource for development and an advocate for success, enabling organizational results generated through learning and performance improvement solutions. Location of Role: 4 days a week in-office at our headquarters: 4001 South 700 East Salt Lake City, UT 84107 and one day from home. Main Responsibilities Include:
Partners with organizational leaders and Business Partners to identify development needs for individual and team learning that align with organizational goals and takes ownership of the relationship with organizations that People Development serves. Collaborates with content and design teams and organizational leaders on learning solutions to equip employees with the mindsets, skills, abilities, and platform/tool knowledge they need to be successful. This includes development, delivery, and assessment of a variety of engaging learning experiences using blended learning approaches, including in-person and virtual workshops, coaching, and eLearning modules. Provides effective, productive, and timely feedback to participants and organizational leadership throughout the learning and talent development journey. Collaborates with organizational leaders and Business Partners to identify individual and team learning, and development needs aligned with organizational goals. Serves as a "go-to person" at the team, function, and organization levels. Participates in analyzing, selecting, and integrating technologies into learning solutions and teaches others to effectively utilize technology and adapt to changes in technology to support essential job functions. Tests and evaluates the effectiveness of existing technology and adapts to changes presented by customers. Investigates and leads creative problem-solving to drive continuous improvement. Assists management in identifying development needs of our people leaders and employees. Collaborates with colleagues to identify potential development opportunities, as needed. Evaluates the effectiveness of learning and development programs and measures their impact on individual and organizational performance. Stays current on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development. Collaborates effectively across relevant functions to deliver learning and development solutions. Engages in creative problem-solving to drive continuous improvement. Responsible for employing adjustments or recommended enhancements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve the job area's effectiveness while leveraging a systems-thinking approach. Promotes and drives usage of People Development solutions. Handles confidential data with utmost discretion and integrity. Participates in the decision-making that takes place related to the fiscal impact of projects, resources, and materials used in development. Incorporates principles of change management into the role and team projects and participates in the change management process across the university, representing learning and development. Responsible for mentoring other members of the team. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
7 or more years of recent training (e.g. facilitation, leadership and executive coaching) experience Previous experience in distance-learning and adult-learning principles. Prior experience facilitating in-person and virtual learning with a variety of leaders and learners, specifically Senior Leaders. Experience in course and curriculum development, learning effectiveness measurement, as well as a solid knowledge of project management and experience leading a project. Previous experience and knowledge of change management practices, such as ADKAR. Previous experience in application of adult-learning principles. Experience in creating course content and curriculum development. Experience conducting needs analysis with leaders and Business Partners for best possible outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree (or equivalent). 5 years of experience in higher education. Experience with learning and course-authoring software (e.g., Rise, Camtasia).
